The jagged edges of me
Clash up against fluidity;
Unrelenting shattering.
Shards of ice caught
Between land and sea
Where lines blur to reveal
Snow blankets everything.
Only the tall stand above
The war of attrition
Between the changing tides
And the bedrock beneath.
This past year has been one of progress and growth for me at least. I have learned so much in this year alone that it is astonishing to me; from photography, to my writing, to my schooling I feel I have grown. Instead of taking the time to look back on all the wonderful things that have happened this year I want t o take the time to move forward. People linger far to log in the past and as part of my growth I hope to live in the now instead of what has happened. I want to tell everyone to take advantage of the life you are given and don’t waste a second. Now is the time for growth, it does not matter if you are young or old, it is the time to grow. So soak up in your roots the wonderful memories of the past and spread out your branches with the growth of new memories and new life.
In San Jose next to the Art Museum my friends and I wondered around in a little winer wonderland. In there we found this tree, an International Baccalaureate tree. Yes, it exists and here is my evidence.
This was a tree my mom and I found on the side of the road on our way to Bend Oregon for our trip back from Michigan. We passed it and had to turn around and go back because it was so cool looking. I have seen telephone wires coated with shoes, but never a tree so covered in them. The shoes were like leaves there were so many. I would have hung up my own shoes but all I had were my new shoes and sandals. Very cool.
