\nThey fill my mind with vibrations
\nlike a tremor behind my eyes
\nLike a precursor pressure
\nWaiting to crack open my head
\nWhen the real earthquake hits
\nReleasing the infestation of my mind
\nUpon the world that was never prepared
\nFor this devastation that I have lived with
\nEveryday like a close companion
\nOr a haunting voice whispering in your ear
\nWords you do not want to hear.<\/p>\n
The sound of silence is alien to me,
\nI would not know how to live without
\nThe pressure built up behind my eyes.
\nLiving like a ticking time bomb
\nDangerous and frightening but existing
\nSo close to death it makes you more alive

\nThe monster you live with becomes tolerable
\nBecause it is your monster, your pain personified

\nTransform your enemy into the tangible

I am the Queen of the hive in my mind
\nBut my own swarm holds me hostage

\nOf their hypnotic song;
\nEntranced by the foot soldiers of an army

\nI cannot escape the buzzing inside my brain
\nBecause we are now two parts of one entity.
\nThey are as much a part of me now
\nAs a mosquito trapped in amber
\nFossilized for all of eternity
\nA trinket of mortified antiquity;
