{"id":470,"date":"2009-09-20T20:17:48","date_gmt":"2009-09-21T03:17:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.multer.com\/people\/monica\/?p=470"},"modified":"2009-09-20T20:17:48","modified_gmt":"2009-09-21T03:17:48","slug":"the-trees-and-the-leaves","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.multer.com\/people\/monica\/2009\/the-trees-and-the-leaves\/","title":{"rendered":"The Trees and The Leaves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The leaves are falling<br \/>\nGone in a blur<br \/>\nBut who will remember<br \/>\nThe fallen leaves<br \/>\nEach color unique<br \/>\nAs they drift away<br \/>\nForever forgotten<br \/>\nGone in the breeze<br \/>\nThe trees protectors<br \/>\nForgotten, when they fall<br \/>\nNever to be remembered<br \/>\nFor who they really are<br \/>\nWhen they have fallen<br \/>\nThey freeze in the snow<br \/>\nForsaken and discarded<br \/>\nLike an old broken toy<br \/>\nThe trees stand bare<br \/>\nBelieving they can stand<br \/>\nForgetting the leaves<br \/>\nAnd their role in its life<br \/>\nWinter pushes forward<br \/>\nThe tree cannot stand<br \/>\nBut the leaves all fallen<br \/>\nCan never be returned<br \/>\nAs the snow melts<br \/>\nThe tree must see<br \/>\nIts horrible mistake<br \/>\nThe fallen leaves lay dead<br \/>\nBuried by snow<br \/>\nNow the tree stands bitter and alone<br \/>\nSo it grows more leaves<br \/>\nTo replace those loyal to it<br \/>\nSo easily forgetting its treason<br \/>\nBut as years pass by<br \/>\nAnd seasons replay<br \/>\nOver and over<br \/>\nThe tree repeats its mistake<br \/>\nNever learning its lesson<br \/>\nCursed forever to relive its life<br \/>\nThe leave\u2019s revenge<br \/>\nFor they never fall alone<br \/>\nBecause inside they know<br \/>\nEach fall that passes<br \/>\nHas its winter in turn<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Here is a very generic poem of mine, I dislike it but I have nothing else to put up currently. This is why I think classes don&#8217;t make writers&#8230; they create canned poetry.
