It's the time of year again when the biggest road cycling race in the USA comes to our neck of the woods, the Amgen Tour of California. This year Gabe is working to get tons of autographs from some of his favorite riders on a cycling hat. Some of his favorites include: Jens Voigt, Johan Van Summeren, Laurens Ten Dam, Oscar Freire, Lars Boom, Bernhard Eisel, Taylor Phinney, and George Hincapie.

Wait a second, there's Ben King! Gabe is off and running again! Unfortunately Gabe didn't get Andy Schleck and some others, but 11 autographs is pretty good!

The start through downtown Livermore was a great setting with all the riders packed together on the narrow main street. There goes Chris Horner, the eventual winner of the ToC.

Damn that was cool!

After a quick pee break, Gabe and I are off to ride up Calaveras Canyon, then up Felter and the back side of Sierra Road to watch the summit finish in San Jose where Chris Horner showed the whole field how a great climber makes it look easy.
