We're treating ourselves to a special Christmas gift this year, a
trip to Napa Valley. Dad and the crew have never been, so we thought staying at the excellent
Harvest Inn in St. Helena for a night would be
very special. Stopping in Yountville for lunch is as beautfiul as ever.
Our first stop is at Chandon.
The grounds are fun to explore while we wait for the tour to start.
Making champagne looks like a lot of work, and a lot of fun.
Charlotte, Ira, and I enjoy another part of the grounds.
Inside it's time for some serious tasting. Karen had herself a blast.
The crew steadies themselves to move on to the next winery.
Next stop is Peju. The building
and the wine tasting areas where really beautiful.
We had dinner at Go Fish
based on a recommendation from the hotel. It was quite good, but the sushi is much better back
home at Shogun.
