We just had to squeeze in a bit of fishing before Gordon heads back to Michigan. The start of salmon season is the perfect excuse. I'm trying my best to forget that I just did the Tierra Bella century bike ride yesterday and have to get up at 4:30am for this fishing trip. The trip out to the fishing spot takes forever, and it's unbelievably cold.

The trip back is a solemn one given the poor results. The guy next to me caught three, George caught one, and I think 2 other people caught one. I had one on the line, but the line broke near the boat. We had way too many crossed lines and I lost my tackle two or three times. Let's just say it wasn't one of my better trips. It was great going out with Gordon, George, and Charlie though. It would have been really great if Gabe could have come, but I think it was the right choice to not bring him. Had to include a gratuitous shoe shot.
