It's a really fun, short boat ride over to Houghton. We typically tie up right downtown and then hang out and maybe have lunch. The ride can be a bit cool, and you have to keep an eye out for the weather. The kids of course love the ride. On a warm day it's fun to jump off the boat and go for a quick swim in the middle of the lake. You can get a glimpse of one of the MTU buldings on the south shore of the channel.
